Teens work on an arts and crafts project at the Palopalooza event Friday evening at the Mitchell Park Community Center. Attendees came from a variety of schools around the Bay Area. Gunn High School freshman Inaaya Rahim said she enjoys teen council events because she has the opportunity to bond with friends and meet new people. “The events here are really cool because its not just people from one school but multiple schools, Rahim said. Two Palo Alto High School students work in the Paly Library on homework with masks on. As case rates decline and hospitalizations begin to stabilize, California plans to lift its indoor mask requirement starting Feb. 15. According to Paly sophomore Olivia Atkinson, masking should be continued to be enforced in schools. The mask mandate should persist for a while since COVID-19 cases in schools are still happening, Atkinson said. Plus, it isnt that much to ask of students [to wear a mask]. (Photo: Anna Feng)
