According to Viking junior Oliver Chancellor, the Vikings did a good job of supporting each other throughout the game. We made sure that whether someone makes a mistake, we bring each other up instead of breaking us down, Chancellor said. Sometimes things can get a little heated, so you need to take that energy into constructive criticism.

Scooping up filling to put into squares of dough, junior Riannah Soliman participates in the dumpling-making day of the International and Regional Foods course at Palo Alto High School. Starting in Fall 2024, the Home Economics course series will also include a semester-long baking and pastry course. According to Home Economics teacher Theresa McDermott, the course will teach a unique variety of skills. Baking is an art as well as a science and overall just a very creative process, McDermott said.
