According to Peters, her graduated students often attend culinary school and pursue a professional culinary career. “I help a lot of students with continuing their culinary journey," Peters said. ![Bartender Juliana Martinez crafts two fruity refreshments. Horsefeather—the latest addition to the Town & Country Village food scene—has an expansive selection of drinks, including mocktails.
According to Martinez, working since the restaurant's opening has created new experiences for her and other employees. "With a new restaurant, there's a lot of things to think about," Martinez said. According to Prof. Luskin, the Anna Rose Luskin Memorial Award is being given out for the final time this year because he feels it has fulfilled its purpose. “Nothing can replace my own child,” he said. “Anna was an absolutely wonderful, delightful human being. And life moves on. According to Shounak Dharap, vice president of the Palo Alto Unified School District board, events that gather the community allow for interactions that wouldn't occur normally. "They [community events] let us reach out and talk to other folks we might not normally interact with, or who we might interact with in very different ways," Dharap said. ![The annual Fiery Arts sale had hundreds of various, unique art pieces made of glass available to be sold. Students showed off their hard work to the busy crowd and anyone looking to buy an art piece. According to glassblowing teacher Michael da Ponte, there will be other future events as the money raised from this sale will not be sufficient for an upgraded glass shop. "It's not enough money out of a glass sale to do that [upgrade to a new glass shop]," Da Ponte said. ![At the grab-and-go, healthy restaurant Proper Food, customers are given the option to have their food heated up.
