Palo Alto High School students will be dressing all-out in their class colors tomorrow as well as heading out to the new night rally for Day Three of Spirit Week: Color Day.
The freshmen will be wearing orange, sophomores red, juniors yellow and seniors green. Students are encouraged to wear their spirit week shirts on this day if they purchased one.
This year, Paly Associated Student Body has added another event, the night rally from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The theme for the night rally is “Neon Colors” and all classes can wear neon clothes of any color.
The night rally will feature graded cheers, a game where a participant tries to get across the field in a human-sized hamster ball and a game called “Clean Your Room” from each grade will attempt to throw their “dirty laundry,” random items that ASB has chosen, into the other grades’ sections of the field, according to the ASB website.
During the lunch rally, there will be cheers and a best dressed contest as well as a relay race with six stations.
New stations include “Toilet Paper Unroll,” in which contestants from each grade will have to unravel a roll of toilet paper on a broomstick held by ASB members, “The Neck Grab” where five players will attempt to pass an orange down the line with only their necks without dropping it, “Wheelbarrow Races” in which two players from each grade will participate in a wheel-barrow race and lastly “Foot-ball Game” where participants will pass a football over their heads down a line of five people.
According to ASB Vice President Anmol Nagar, ASB is eager to see how the new event pans out.
“We are very excited … and can’t wait to create a new tradition,” Nagar said.
