Ava, There is something interesting happening on nextdoor. There is a thread with comments all supporting Rowena. Any comments that don’t toe the line are being deleted. I have all the screenshots. May be an interesting follow up. I can be reached via text at 415-971-6581
And a huge congrats on phenomenal coverage of a tough issue!

Student journalists you rock. And Rowena loves to talk, backtrack and use fancy phrases. Sounds like a true politician. Yet only these lines from her reveal anything. “The response to the tweet is disproportionate” says Ms. Chiu. NO. The response to her racist tweet (by PAMA, PAEA, etc.) is proportionate to the danger posed by a race stoking School Board member. “The response to the tweet is also a distraction,” says Ms. Chiu. NO again. Her tweet is not a distraction. It’s the real story. It says everything about the true character of this School Board Member.
