Thanks to proceeds from the annual fall glassblowing sale, half of the Palo Alto High School Fiery Art Program’s operating budget is secured this year. The sale, hosted by Paly’s Fiery Arts program, took place Sept. 19 and 20 on the corner of Embarcadero Road and El Camino Real. Over 800 pieces of glass art were available for sale, ranging from glass pumpkins, pears, apples, flowers and more, according to the Paly website.
“The sale [was] a success,”ceramics teacher and organizer of the event Steve Ferrera said.
According to Ferrera, there will also be a winter sale on Dec. 6 and 7, and all proceeds will benefit the Fiery Arts program
“We will have glass tree ornaments, reindeer and candy canes,” Ferrara said. “And a lot of discounted items — great for presents.”
