The Palo Alto High School and Gunn High School Parent Teacher Student Associations are bringing a New York Times bestselling author to Gunn’s Spangenberg Theater tonight at 7 p.m. to discuss students’ transitions to college.
Harlan Cohen, author of the student handbook on college life The Naked Roommate, will hold a free presentation for seniors, juniors and parents in preparation for their upcoming move to college and for the college search process, according to PTSA parent Jennifer Landesmann.
Cohen encourages asking questions, so the audience will be able to text in their questions about any topic concerning the college experience, including making friends, relationships, peer pressure, time management and finances, according to a PTSA Paly Link email.
College advisor Sandra Cernobori praised Cohen’s presentation skills.
“His book is good, and he’s engaging and entertaining,” Cernobori said.
Cohen has visited more than 400 college campuses and has written five books, according to his website.
