If you have noticed an unusually large number of beanies on campus this past week, it is not just due to the cold weather. Palo Alto High School varsity boys’ soccer team members are sporting (or hiding) their traditional haircuts for the start of the 2013-14 season.

Every year, veteran members of the varsity squad style new players’ hair in unique patterns. While most members of the team receive haircuts to commemorate the start of the season, older players tend to have less eccentric hairdos.
