Spark: Art students reflect on the virtual semester

The virtual learning environment in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic has made significant changes to Palo Alto High School art classes, causing students to adjust their processes of creating pieces. Here, students taking a variety of higher level art classes, who are able to draw comparisons between in-person and virtual art classes, share what they have been painting and drawing during the semester.







![Economics teacher Eric Bloom encourages students to return their textbooks for the end of the year. According to Bloom, students might have recognized his unique fashion choices including vibrant shoes and belt buckles. Bloom said his attire choices actually linked to his lessons. "I have a lot of shoes, I have a lot of belt buckles and wear them purpose because of its educational value," Bloom said.
