The Palo Alto High School administration is replacing some standard male and female restrooms with single-stalled all-gender restrooms around campus.

“All-gender restrooms are happening all over now; you see it everywhere you go,” Assistant Principal Jerry Berkson said. “The key to the all-gender restrooms is that they are single-stalled.”

According to Berkson, the restrooms were put into place two weeks ago, but the concept started last year.

Currently, the all-gender restrooms are located in the Media Arts Center, 700s building and the Student Center.

“We tried to strategically put them so there is a restroom within reach,” Berkson said.
