    Despite starting a different quarterback, the Palo Alto High School football team (1-3, 0-0) was unable to snap out of a two-game scoring drought, falling to the Palma High School Chieftains (4-0, 0-0) 35-7 on Friday night.

  • Slideshow: CCS football semi-finals at St. Francis

    The Palo Alto Vikings played the St. Francis Lancers in the Central Coast Section Division II Semi-Finals on Friday. The Lancers beat the Vikings, 45-21, bringing the Paly football season to a close.

  • Football liveblog: Vikings take on Leland in CCS playoffs

    The Palo Alto High School Vikings (5-5, 4-3) will face the Leland High School Chargers (7-3, 5-2) in the quarterfinals of the CIF Central Coast Section playoffs at 7 p.m. tonight at Leland ‘s Tillman Stadium.

    Palo Alto fell to Milpitas 28-31 in the final minutes of the fourth quarter. The Vikings will play their last home game at 7:30 p.m. on November 8 against Los Gatos.

  • Recap: Paly defeats San Benito 28-7 in first game of season

    The Palo Alto High School football team (1-0-0) kicked off the 2013 season Friday night with a 28-7 victory over San Benito High School, elating the thousands of spectators who packed into the new Viking Stadium to see the first home game of the season.
