If you’re still trying to figure out what to wear to this year’s Homecoming dance, don’t fret. The Paly Voice has you covered with some helpful tips on where to shop and what to wear. This year’s Homecoming dance is October 27 at 7 p.m. in the small gym at Palo Alto High School.
So you've decided to go to Homecoming. Congrats! Now it's time to find something to wear. Whether it's an impromptu trip to the mall or your local thrift store, The Paly Voice is here to offer a couple tips on how to dress for the first dance of the year.

Dress Code
Homecoming's overall dress code is semi-formal, meaning don't wear clothes that you would usually wear to school.
Instead try to go for a semi-elegant dress or skirt and top, or a nice dress shirt paired with dress pants and semi-formal shoes.

These easy options never fail:
-The classic little black dress, an easy way to twin with 200 other girls
-this can come in any shape and size, from strapless long-sleeved to flared.
-If you want to stand out, opt for a different colored dress with a unique neckline
-A cute skirt with a semi-fancy top
-opt for a flare skirt and pair it with a tighter fitting top
-For a more refined look, pair some nice dress pants with a cute top
-make sure the colors don't clash, and that they balance each other out
-colors like black and navy blue, or red and white

Homecoming's dress code is semi-formal, no need to spend an obnoxious amount of money on renting a tux that you'll never wear again instead.
-pair a solid collared polo shirt with either black or tan khakis
If you want to dress up a little more:
