The Palo Alto High School girls’ wrestling team will compete at the Championship Cup Series at 4 p.m. this Friday and Saturday at Oak Grove High School.

The top three placers in CCS go to the state meet.

Sophomore Sara Aguilar and senior Alexa Austin will participate in the tournament. Last year, Aguilar ranked fourth and Austin ranked third.

The team has been doing well this season with Austin placing second and Aguilar third at the last meet.

“I believe we’re ready for the championship and the only thing to do now is just visualize and while in the moment take it one match at a time,” Aguilar said.

General admission for students is $4 and $8 for adults, and free for children 5 years old and under.
