Palo Alto High School boys’ soccer team (4-1-2) beat rival Gunn High School (3-4-1) 3-0 in its last preseason match yesterday at home.

Senior forward Edward Chen scored the first goal of the game in the first half. In the second half, sophomore midfielder Brian Tracy scored the second goal for Paly, followed soon after by a header goal by junior midfielder Dami Bolarinwa off of a corner kick by senior captain and center midfielder Wesley Woo.

“3-0 kind of seems like a blowout, but it was a hard game,” Chen said. “We had huge expectations and I think we did well.”

The Vikings will next take on Los Altos in their first league game at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at home.
