The Palo Alto High School girls’ soccer team (6-0) shut out cross-town rival Gunn High School (2-2-1), 6-0, in Saturday’s game at Gunn.

Paly pulled ahead in the first half with four goals and solidly finished with a final two goals scored in the second half. Midfielder juniors Jacey Pederson and Nika Woodfill both scored two goals and midfielders senior Katie Foug and sophomore Tess Preising scored one each.

The Vikings will next take on Los Altos High School at 3:30 p.m. on Jan. 8 at Los Altos.
