The Palo Alto High School Parent Teacher Student Association will serve hot chocolate and cookies following the last final of the week tomorrow on the Quad, according to the Associated Student Body.
“This year is pretty much the same as it’s been [in] the past two years that this tradition has existed,” senior class president Audrey DeBruine said. “The [PTSA] offered to help out so they’ll be serving the hot chocolate and cookies.”
According to senior Caroline Moeser, the event has become popular in recent years because it works as a way to combat post-finals stress and to kick off winter break.
“The hot chocolate warms my soul and makes the week a lot better,” Moeser said.
According to the event’s Facebook page, there will only be around 200 attending. However, ASB officials are expecting a much larger turnout based on previous years’ participation.
ASB encourages student to stick around for a little while after school and socialize to celebrate the end of finals.
