The Palo Alto High School football team’s senior night will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday night for their last game in the newly renovated Viking stadium.
Senior lineman Jack Anderson has mixed feelings towards the ceremony and the game itself.
“It’s going to be all of us seniors last time playing in our home stadium,” Anderson said. “It’s somewhat sad that we will never get to play here again but there are some great memories and more to be made in this final game.”
The Vikings (4-4, 3-2) will take on Los Gatos (5-3, 4-1) in what is bound to be a difficult game on home turf, according to Anderson.
“This is going to be a very good game, Los Gatos is a tough team,” Anderson said. “They play physically and even though they are not the biggest they give everything 100 percent effort.”
Although this game is bound to be a challenge, Anderson says he believes in the ability of his team.
“We are very talented and should be doing better, I think that we can end the season very strong with two wins and move onto the playoffs where anything can happen,” Anderson said.
Senior night festivities will commence before the kickoff at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Hod Ray Field when the players will be walking onto the field with their families.
