The Parent-Teacher-Student Association will host a Back to School Dinner for the Palo Alto High School community at  5:30 p.m. tonight on the Quad featuring performances by the cheer and dance squads.

“We’re really excited for it because it’s our first performance of the year with the new team,” said junior Lydia Barry, a member of the dance team. “It should be really fun.”

Both the varsity and junior varsity dance teams will be performing, and cheer will have a separate performance.

Student Activities Director Matt Hall explained that there will be food and cookies handed out by Associated Student Body officials. Dinner will be available for purchase for $10.

“It’s always a good event; it’s going to be well-attended, the weather’s holding up and the Quad’s dry,” Hall said. “I’m looking forward to it.”
