The Palo Alto High School Parent-Teacher-Student Association encourages students to submit letters of gratitude to their teachers this week, as a part of the PTSA’s broader Teacher Appreciation Week efforts.
Students can leave appreciative notes to teachers in the front office or mail them to Paly, according to PTSA President Rebecca Fox.
“Teachers will also enjoy a latte cart and a teacher appreciation luncheon, sponsored by Paly PTSA,” Fox said.
“The PTSA has been fabulous this year,” Principal Phil Winston said. “That [giving staff tote bags] was an idea that I brought to the PTSA and they really liked it. There will also be a big lunch on Friday for staff.”
Teachers have expressed a great appreciation for the PTSA’s gestures.
“I think the PTSA is very generous with us every year and I do appreciate the luncheons, yes, yes,” English teacher Julia Taylor said.
