Campus electricity was briefly disrupted this morning, possibly by Palo Alto High School’s main breaker switch, according to Principal Phil Winston.
“At around 7:05 a.m. the electricity went out all over campus,” Winston said. “The district believes that it has to do with the main breaker switch over by the Haymarket Theater. They have to order a new switch and replace it when we’re not on campus.”
The blackout did not affect scheduled classes on Thursday.
While Winston hoped the situation would be fully resolved by Monday, he warned of possible additional blackouts.
“My hope is by Monday for sure,” Winston said. “It’s likely that the lights will go out again.”
