Palo Alto High School’s Music Department will be hosting its annual Pops Concert at 7 p.m. today in the Big Gym.

The Symphonic Band, the Concert Band and the Orchestra will start the night by performing a variety of pieces, according to senior Jazz Band member Dar Shavit.

Following the show, dinner will be provided, which includes pizza, salad and dessert. After dinner, the Jazz Band is scheduled to perform while a professional dance coach will instruct attendees on how to swing dance.

The Jazz Band will continue to play songs for attendees to dance to until the event ends at 10 p.m.

“People should come,” senior orchestra member Azad Balabanian said. “There’s great food, great music and a great dancing instructor giving a master class.”

Tickets will be sold at the door, $5 for students and $10 for general admission.
