Palo Alto High School’s sixth-seeded varsity boys’ water polo team will be playing Bellermine (18-9) today, Nov. 16, at 5:30 p.m. at Serra High School after advancing to the semifinals of the Central Coast Section Division I tournament.

The Vikings upset Menlo-Atherton High School, 5-4, on Saturday at Sacred Heart Prep.

The Vikings defense was strong with 14 team steals; junior Nelson Perla-Ward had seven and senior Peter Rockhold had three.

If the Vikings win, they will play in the CCS Championship with St. Francis High School (11-5) on Nov. 19 at Independence High School in San Jose.
