A colleague of former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is currently with a Palo Alto High School Foreign Policy Honors class to discuss decision making and United States policy, at 8:30, today, in room 305.
The colleague, Theo Milonopoulos, also a former research assistant of Rice, has covered a wide range of topics during the talk spanning from general foreign policy principles to specific decisions, such as the U.S. involvement in Libya.
Milonopoulos began the discussion by asking the students their names and why they joined the class.
“When I was a senior, sitting in your seats, I had no clue with what was going on in foreign policy,” Nilonopoulos said. “Now I am a self-admitted Foreign Policy nerd.”
Milonopoulos continued with a slide show and lecture, speaking first about the history of foreign policy and then contemporary issues.
Milonopoulos has also assisted Rice in the writing of her memoirs, which will be released Nov. 1, according to Milonopoulos.
“We are hoping for a New York Times best-seller,” Milonopoulos said.
