The Palo Alto High School baseball team (21-8, 12-4) enters today’s matchup against Los Altos hoping to attain the victory it needs to advance to the Santa Clara Valley Athletic League championship.

The best-of-three series is tied, 1-1, after the Vikings beat Los Altos, 4-3, on Tuesday, but lost, 7-4, on Thursday.

Junior Ben Sneider pitched for Paly on Tuesday, lasting all seven innings and earning the victory.  Junior Kevin Kannappan took the loss on Thursday, as he allowed six earned runs over four and one-third innings.

Paly will host Los Altos at 3:30 p.m. today.
