The Palo Alto High School girls’ basketball team (16-4, 9-0) continued its undefeated run in the Santa Clara Valley Athletic League with a dominating win over the Wilcox Chargers, 43-18.
Paly’s defense shut down Wilcox, holding them to less than six points per quarter. The Vikings went on a 12-0 run in the first half that sealed the win early.
Palo Alto’s offense was balanced with senior point guard Sydney Davis leading all scorers with nine points, junior shooting guard Shamelia Clay contributing eight points, and junior forward Emilee Osagiede tossing in six points.
With the win, the Vikings took a commanding two game lead in SCVAL with three league games remaining.
