The Palo Alto High School girls’ water polo team (3-4, 1-1) is looking forward to a busy week after a disappointing loss to Santa Clara Valley Athletic League rival Los Altos High School, 11-7, Thursday night, in a league match at Los Altos.
The Vikings fell behind early in the game and could not fully recover.
“We didn’t play our game until the second half, and by that point Los Altos had already picked up the momentum,” senior hole-set Katie Maser said. “We played them hard though, and brought it back to a close game. Unfortunately they closed better.”
The Vikings’ busy schedule in the coming week includes a scrimmage against Sacred Heart Preparatory on Saturday, followed by games against Monta Vista High School and Homestead High School on Tuesday and Thursday, respectively.
The Vikings will scrimmage Sacred Heart at 4:30 p.m on Saturday at Sacred Heart.
