The Palo Alto High School girls’ water polo team will face off against Campolindo High School in a non-league matchup tonight at 6:30 p.m. at Stanford’s Avery Aquatic Center.
The Vikings have high hopes for the game and plan to keep the Cougars on their toes, according to junior utility Skylar Dorosin.
“We are going to win,” Dorosin said. “Every quarter we will bring something fresh into the game.”
Junior driver Shannon Scheel said the Vikings have an advantage because of their variable offense.
“We have a more versatile offense,” Scheel said. “We like to run different things on offense which allows more opportunities to score.”
Admission to the game is free.
Paly’s first league game is on Sept. 10 at the St. Francis Invitational Tournament, whose location will be announced at a future date.
