Sholtz: Hi Paly, this is Alex Sholtz and Meg Hine of The Paly Voice, bringing you the latest news from the Paly campus for the week of March 15-19.
Hine: The girls’ varsity lacrosse team continued its winning streak after defeating University High School, 12-3, on Wednesday night at Paly.
Sholtz: This week in softball, the Paly girls’ varsity team narrowly defeated Los Altos High School, 1-0, on Tuesday at Paly.
Hine: Boys’ swimming is preparing for another great season this year, all of the athletes are training hard to claim their sixth consecutive SCVAL title.
Sholtz: In other news, Paly’s Science Olympiad team placed first in a regional competition last week at Foothill High School, maintaining their undefeated record from the Science Bowl earlier this month.
Hine: Paly’s bell schedule action committee, lead by biology teacher Elizabeth Brimhall and guidance counselor Susan Shultz, will be hosting lunchtime meetings to obtain student input on prospective schedules.
Sholtz: Assistant Principal Todd Feinberg announced his resignation late last week; he will be officially leaving us at the end of June.
Hine: Finally, we are sorry to report that data processing clerk Lue Phelps passed away last week at the age of 88; she had been working at Paly for 35 years.
