Palo Alto High School freshmen will vote during advisory on Wednesday in the Haymarket theater to select two of five candidates to represent their class as president and vice president, according to an Associated Student Body press release.
As in previous years, the freshmen will receive a brief description of each office-seeker and then listen to short speeches presented by the candidates. This year’s candidates are Alvin Kim, Soo Song and Charlie Dulik for president, and Maryssa Sklaroff and Sasha Robinson for vice president.
After the candidates present, ASB officers will hand out ballots and all freshmen will vote. This does not include students who are enrolled in the TEAM (Together Everyone Achieves More) program, who will vote absentee because the election coincides with their annual Foothills Boot Camp field trip, according to TEAM teacher Denise Shaw.
ASB expects the results to be available by the end of the day on Wednesday.
