Despite the hype in anticipation of Freshman Friday, the afternoon seems to have passed rather peacefully.
The administration, true to its word, was well-prepared to handle any possible mischief. Assistant Principal Jerry Berkson spent the early afternoon driving around town looking for possible egg-throwers. Assistant Principal Kimberley Diorio and Principal Jacqueline McEvoy stood outside Paly by Embarcadero Road and spoke at least once to a police officer. Campus supervisor Scott Reese was present at Town and Country Village after school. All four, however, were pleased to report that they had not seen anything out of the ordinary.
Historically, hazing has continued well into the evening and administrators have not always been able to pick up on it immediately, according to Berkson.
