Multiple vehicles crash on Embarcadero and Webster

A multiple vehicle crash occurred at around 3 p.m. today on Embarcadero and Webster.

According to eye witnesses and members of The Paly Voice, there was an overturned Honda CR-V that had three occupants in it, all of whom were taken to Stanford Hospital, and two occupants in the other car involved, a mini-van.

“I saw two gentlemen who were on the sidewalk and they looked like they were alright,” said Palo Alto resident Fred Cheng, who lives in the house in front of which the accident occurred. “There was another person inside the car stuck in the CR-V. Two people were in the mini-van. The people inside the CR-V were really young-looking.”

According to Officer Duane Tannock of the Palo Alto Police Department, juveniles were involved, and more information will be released soon.

Witnesses say car accidents have occurred in the area before.

“I don’t know who hit who and how the accident happened; however, throughout the 40 years I have been living in this house, I have seen many accidents here,” said Palo Alto resident William McKennan, who was 30 feet from the accident when it happened.

Voice Reporter Amin Ronaghi also contributed to this story.
