Bastidas: Hi Paly, this is Anna Bastidas and Vienna Tran of The Paly Voice bringing you the latest news from the Paly campus for the week of Feb. 27 to March 6 in our weekly update.

Tran: In sports news, congratulations to the boys’ soccer team who became CCS co-champions along with the Bellermine Bells on Saturday. Girls’ team lost in the CCS finals 2-1 to Monta Vista. Both varsity and JV lacrosse beat Gunn in the first game of the season, 6-2 and 10-4, respectively.

Bastidas: The varsity boys’ tennis team beat the Los Altos Eagles, 7-0, last Thursday. On Wednesday, the Paly tennis team won its third straight match, 7-0, against Serra High School. Congratulations and good luck in Fresno, guys!

Tran: Spring sports have officially begun and are off to a good start. There are lacrosse, softball, tennis, and track and field competitions next week. Check the schedules online for times and locations.

Bastidas: Don’t forget that the AP Test registration fee has been increased to $110. Normal registration runs through March 31. But be sure to register on time because late registration costs $150.

Tran: Also, don’t forget to look at the career speaker schedules. Speakers will be giving presentations during lunch through March 27.

Bastidas: The Paly choir is off to southern California to compete in the Anaheim Heritage Music Festival. The choir will be studying with a choral professor from UC Irvine, perform in places such as Fullerton College in Orange County and possibly sing at Disneyland. Have fun and good luck!
