Paly choirs will perform Disney songs at their Valentine’s Day concert at 3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the Student Center.

Beginning Choir, Concert Choir, and the Madrigals will perform at this event. Also performing are female groups Spectrum and the Heartbeats, and the newly formed all-male a capella group The Heartbreakers, according to senior choir co-captain Monet Lane.

“We hope that a lot of students will be able to attend,” Lane said. “That’s why we scheduled a performance right after school.”

Douce France and Peet’s Coffee and Tea will provide refreshments.

Choir has increased rehearsal time to prepare for the concert.

“We did a retreat this past weekend,” Lane said. “It was a bunch of hours of rehearsing and fun.”

For this concert, choir members will dress in Disney costumes.

“It [the concert] is definitely our most playful event,” Lane said.

Money earned from ticket sales will be used for scholarships for students to attend the Heritage Festival at Disneyland in March. However, the choice in concert theme is unrelated to the festival, according to Lane.

Tickets are $5 for students at the door.
