Madrigal Dinner tickets selling fast

Tickets for the Madrigal Dinner, a joint performance of Palo Alto High School’s choirs, are selling rapidly for both performances on Saturday, Dec. 15 and Sunday, Dec. 16 at Parish Hall in St. Mark’s Episcopal Church.

The money raised in ticket sales will go to providing financial assistance for choir students traveling on the Mexico Tour this upcoming summer, according to choir director Michael Najar.

Paly’s Beginning Choir, Concert Choir, Madrigals, and Spectrum will be performing at this event.

Attendees can choose from three different seating options: $60 for The King’s Table, $35 for Nobility Seating and $10 for Gentry Seating.

Those seated in the limited number of King’s Table seats can expect a greater amount of personal attention from the Madrigal singers, as well as special table decorations according to Jessica Kuo, a junior at Paly and a member of Concert Choir.

Both King’s Court and Nobility Seating receive a catered meal during the performance, and as a result, these tickets must be ordered ahead of time.

Unlike the more expensive seats, Gentry tickets can be bought on the day of the performance for the lower price, but dinner is not included. The event is expected to be between two to three hours long.

Sunday night’s performance is already sold out for the King’s Court and Nobility Seating. According to Kuo, this is most likely because of the dinner option included with the ticket.

Kuo said the dinner selection will be somewhat similar to that of last year’s meal, which included soup, salad, bread, main courses, and bread pudding. Vegetarian meals are available on the order form if requested.

Order forms are available on the Paly Choir web site: http://homepage.mac.com/palychoirs/ and directions for turning in the form are found at the bottom of the page.
