A student has reported to the Paly administration claiming full responsibility for placing an overturned car on the Paly deck and cementing a toilet into a planter box early this morning, according to administrator Jerry Berkson.
Berkson recieved a call at 6 a.m. this morning from the Palo Alto district office notifying him of the prank.
Tow trucks and workers succesfully removed the vehicle and toilet before school started.
The district estimates the damages will total around $3000. The cost covers fees to remove the car and toilet, as well as replace the broken boards on the deck.
“I don’t think at school you should break things. You come to learn,” said Savelio, a district maintenance worker replacing the broken boards. “This [replacing the boards] will probably take me the rest of the afternoon.”
