An Inconvenient Truth showing at Cubberly Auditorium

The Stanford Climate Change Campaign, a group that wants to raise awareness of global warming, is screening Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth at 7:30 p.m. at Cubberly Auditorium.

"[An Inconvenient Truth] is an educational film worth seeing, especially for young adults looking to do something good in the world," said Lauren Finzer, a Stanford student and member of the Stanford Climate Change Campaign.

The Stanford Climate Change Campaign is a student-run activist group that is aiming for both awareness and solutions around the issue of global warming, according to their website.

The purpose of tonight’s showing is to encourage people to take an active interest in the environment, Finzer says.

"We’d like Stanford to commit to taking leadership in addressing global warming and also to reducing its own emissions," she said.

The showing is tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Cubberly Auditorium in the Stanford School of Education. Free snacks will be provided.
