Sheer swirls of pink, orange and blue decorated delicate pumpkins, flowers and fruit at Paly’s Holiday Glass sale last Thursday and Friday.
According to Art teacher David Camner, the sale brought in $2600. Sixty percent goes to the artist and forty percent goes to the Paly glass program.
"Forty percent of all sales go to the program to help pay for glass materials, tools and materials for the sculpture program, including clay and bronze," Camner said.
The glass sale displayed student work and pieces blown by Camner and fellow instructor, Anthony Alfaro. Alfaro sold glass apples and pears in a variety of shades of green, red and brown. Camner produced a variety of glass pumpkins, ranging from bright orange to midnight blue.
Addison Stern, Austin Stern and Tim Wenzlau, students in Camner’s Ceramics/Sculpture and Advanced Sculpture classes, were among six students who displayed small pumpkins, flowers and vases.
