Christine Chang was announced today as the new freshman class president, though her TEAM counterpart is still waiting to be elected.

Chang beat Brandon Chan for the position in Wednesday’s freshman-only elections.

Members of TEAM (Together Everyone Achieves More),Paly’s interdisciplinary program for freshmen, will elect for the first time in their history a designated TEAM president. The nominees include Olivia Diamond, Spencer Dwight, Taylor Dwight, Megan Edwards, and Jujhaar Singh. The elections will take place during fourth period on Friday.

"The TEAM president will be responsible for bringing back everything TEAM has to say," said Allison Davies, the new Student Activities Director, who replaced Joann Vaars over the summer.

Approximately one-third of the freshman class is involved in TEAM.

Whichever candidate prevails will go down in history as the first ever TEAM president, and will join current ASB officers, including the new freshmen class president, Chang, in student government.
