Quadside Lands, first student music festival of the year to begin tomorrow
September 17, 2019
The first Palo Alto High School student music festival of the year, Quadside Lands, will feature student performers on the Quad during lunch from Sept. 18 to Sept. 20.
Quadside Lands is set to include various student performers: Good, Fast, Cheap, Eric Sheffer, and Trembling Wave on Wednesday; Paly K-Pop, Recorder Club, and The Russ Gods on Thursday; and Oscar’s Band Tribute Band Tribute Band, The Jacks, and The Jokers on Friday.
“It’s been tough planning practice since people are busy, but we’re hoping to put on a good show to start off the year,” junior Michelle Kim, Paly K-Pop Club president, stated in a text message.
In addition, Paly’s Associated Student Body will host fun activities and distribute free Quadside Lands wristbands to students attending Friday. According to ASB President Pooja Akella, there will be bubble machines, lanterns, body glitter, temporary tattoos, and more.
A new addition to this year’s music festival is free food for students.
“We used Food Services for World Fest last year and that went well, so the leads decided it would be a good addition to our music festivals,” Akella said.
Students are encouraged to wear festival clothes on Friday to celebrate.
