The Palo Alto girls’ basketball team beat Los Gatos Friday, making their league record 4-0. Los Gatos now stands at 1-2. Although the game started out close, the Lady Vikes pulled out a 62-41 victory.

The first half was close for the girls as they faced Los Gatos’s tough defense. Led by senior guard Jossy Tseng, senior small forward Sara Schulte, and sophomore guard Bre Clay, Paly proved to be too much for the Wildcats. Tseng scored 16 points; Clay scored 12, and Schulte scored 10.

"We had way too many turnovers," Tseng said. "We also had way too many fouls. Luckily Los Gatos didn’t make a lot of their free throws."

The girls play Homestead on Tuesday at Paly at 7 p.m. They then play Monta Vista on Thursday away at 7 p.m.
