Assistant Principal Adam Paulson will take on the role of acting principal following a letter released yesterday by Superintendent Karen Hendricks announcing his appointment.

According to the letter, outgoing acting Principal Frank “Pancho” Rodriguez is currently on leave as he awaits the birth of his first grandchild, and he will no longer be available come the end of May.

Hendricks described Paulson’s role as “point person” while mentioning the availability of Assistant Principals Vicki Kim, Jerry Berkson, Janice Chen and Katya Villalobos.

“During this time, we’re fortunate to have a strong ‘Paly Principals’ team leading the work, with a stellar faculty and classified staff also continue to make great things happen on behalf of students,” Hendricks wrote in her letter.
