The air has a chill, Trader Joe’s has stocked up on peppermint chocolate cookies, and if you listen closely, you can hear the ringing of sleigh bells over the crying of students preparing for finals. It’s that time of the year again.
There’s nothing that symbolizes the holiday season like a steaming mug of hot chocolate, but with so many types, it can be easy to buy a mix that doesn’t cut it. To help those in search for the perfect hot chocolate, The Paly Voice staff taste tested and reviewed a dozen types.
After being mixed with hot water, each hot chocolate was blindly sampled by a group of three or four staffers. Every group graded and reviewed their drink based on its taste, texture, and chocolate flavor before finding out which brand they had sampled. See the infographic below for a breakdown of the ratings.
