The Palo Alto High School Associated Student Body will host its annual Pajama Day on Wednesday to kick off finals in style.
According to ASB Vice President Anmol Nagar, ASB encourages students to come to school in fuzzy socks and robes to let loose and lower stress coming into final exams.
“Being comfy on the first day of finals is a great way to set the tone for a lower stress week,” Nagar said.
According to Nagar, being comfortable also helps put students in the right mindset when approaching finals and gives them one less thing to worry about. Students should feel free to jump out of bed and come to school in their favorite pajama set or robe and not have to stress about the day’s outfit, according to Nagar.
“You won’t have to think of an outfit for the day, which is one less thing to worry about,” Nagar said.
In addition to pajama day, ASB will also offer cookies and cocoa on Friday on the quad to commemorate the end the semester, according to Nagar.
“ASB [provides cookies and cocoa] to celebrate finals being done and the start of a relaxing break,” Nagar said.
As always, students are expected to dress in school-appropriate wear within the regular dress code, according to Nagar.
Junior Zahra Muzaffar says that both of these events are things to look forward to during finals week.
“I think it’s a great way for students to take a break, especially during such a stressful week,” Muzaffar said.
