Customers forced to evacuate Jamba Juice

Published October 3, 2012

Fans at Jamba Juice are blowing at full blast after the air conditioning system malfunctioned at 3:43 p.m. today at Town and Country Shopping Center.

A customer first noticed a strange smell and notified an employee, according to a Voice staff member who was there at the time. The manager of the store called Town and Country security, but no security officers arrived at the scene.

Several customers were asked to evacuate when smoke began to come in from the back of the store. Gas vapor could be seen coming through the wall.

The store is back up and running, but it is extremely hot inside. Fans are now blowing to make up for the fact that the air conditioning is not functioning properly, according to a Jamba Juice employee.
