Willner is stepping down from his post after 25 years at Palo Alto High School, where he's impacted generations of Paly students. According to Katie Gilchrist, one of the teachers taking over for Willner next year along with fellow teacher Greg Miller, she is excited for the future of Paly’s instrumental music program. “For the first time ever, there’s going to be two full-time instrumental music teachers at Paly,” Gilchrist said. “Me and him [Miller] are very excited just to put our own spin on this program and kind of modernize.”](https://palyvoice.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/willner-1200x920.jpeg)
