Baseball looks to come back in first SCVAL playoff series

    Today marks the Palo Alto High School baseball team's (21-6, 13-1) first game of the Santa Clara Valley Athletic League playoffs against the Wilcox Chargers (15-13, 7-7). The Vikings fell short of a win in the 7th inning; ultimately losing 3-4 in the first matchup of the three-game series. With the De Anza League title under their belts and holding the first seed in the SCVAL playoffs, the Vikings are looking to win the league tournament, and begin the long road to the top of the Central Coast Section.

    You may recognize its members from the halftime shows of Palo Alto High School football and basketball games, but the Paly dance team also has competitions of its own. This Friday and Saturday, the Vikings will compete at the United Spirit Association Nationals competition in Long Beach, CA.

    Students dominate Winter Rally soccer game

    "Look at Chinmay go!" senior, game commentator, Andrew Vargha exclaimed over the loud speaker as senior team member Chinmay Tyagi dribbled across the field. "It makes you wonder how he didn't make the Varsity [soccer] team." The student spectators erupted in laughter as the senior class soccer team won the Winter Rally staff vs students competition at brunch today on the Palo Alto High School football field with a score of 4-1.
