Palo Alto High School’s Link Crew is holding the annual Freshmen Tailgate Social on Friday, Nov. 5 from 5-7 p.m. on the quad.
According to Link Leader Katie Causey, this event is exclusively for freshmen to promote class solidarity.
“To kick off Paly’s last [football] home game, Link Crew is holding the Freshmen Tailgate because we want to give the freshmen an event of their own,” Causey said.
This is also a chance for freshmen to meet one another as well as some Link Leaders.
“This is a great chance to meet new people and also see familiar faces,” Causey said. “Also, freshmen will get to know the Link leaders better since they will be attending as well.”
Link Crew will be providing various activities, according to Link Leader Emily Fu.
“There’s going to be games, food, music with a dance floor, a raffle, a miniature golf course and a bounce house which will be on the quad,” Fu said. “The prizes for the raffle will be gift cards to major stores at Town and Country.”
Tickets are on sale at the auditor’s office and the quad for five dollars. Tickets will be sold at the door.
Editor’s Note: An earlier version of this story stated that it was the last volleyball home game and that tickets would not be sold at the door. It was actually a football game and tickets were sold at the door; the current version of this story reflects these corrections.
