Each grade at Palo Alto High School has chosen their class themes for Spirit Week, which falls on the week of Oct. 25 – 29 this year, according to Senior Class President Jack Smale.
The class colors are the same as always: freshmen are orange; sophomores, red; juniors, yellow; and seniors, green. Each year each class chooses a theme that corresponds to its assigned class color, and the theme carries through the week to class T-shirts, spirit dances and floats.
Smale announced that this year’s themes are as follows:
Freshmen: Tony the Tiger
Sophomores: America
Juniors: Pirates’ Treasure
Seniors: Aliens
The Associated Student Body is already hard at work making preparations for Spirit Week.
“ASB is doing a lot to get ready for spirit week,” Smale said. “We’ve got a couple new activities coming up that we’re excited about.”
Editor’s Note: A previous version of this article stated that senior Jack Smale was his class vice president. Smale is in fact the senior class president.
