The Palo Alto High School girls’ water polo team (1-2) beat St. Ignatius High School, 9-7, but lost to Leland High School, 9-6, on the second day of the Saint Francis Invitational Tournament on Saturday, according to junior goalie Eve Higgins.

On the first day of the tournament, the Vikings lost to Saint Francis High School, 2-7, and beat Burlingame High School, 14-1, Higgins said.
