Palo Alto High School’s Associated Student Body and Student Diversity Coalition will be holding the fifth annual Not in Our School Week, starting on Monday.
According to the event’s adviser Magdalena Rivera, the purpose of Not in Our School Week is to bring the community together.
“We have more student entertainers and more activities available for students,” Rivera said. “We’re trying to focus on the issues of equity and social justice.”
Rivera looks forward to seeing the students have fun during Not in Our School Week.
Below is the schedule for Not in Our School Week, which will take place on the quad every day this week at lunch.
April 5: Opening Day: flag ceremony and Bhangra dancers
April 6: NIOS t-shirt decorating and Furious George performance
April 7: Sidewalk chalk messages and Friendship bracelets and Late Notice performance
April 8: Dissolving Stereotypes, Slam Poetry and Steppers and Conor Ney performance
April 9: Closing Day: Mix-it-up free barbecue and Grupo Luna y Sol
